2023 Fine Art Photography & Business Workshop

Our 2023 Workshop is for photographers who are committed to their clients legacy.

You run a business that is unwavering in delivering the best possible output through a beautiful customer experience. Your approach is cohesive and consistent, delivering delightful photos your clients treasure and breathtaking tangible products that grace the walls and coffee tables of their houses. Reviews are glowing, referrals are daily, you are stress-free and thriving. You have made it.

Perhaps you’re not quite there yet.

You face stumbling blocks, or you desire shortcuts to reach this level. You want to convert your side-hustle into replacing 9-5. If you’re at the start of your journey, this workshop will leave you with a flourishing and ambitious mindset.

If you’ve been doing this for more than 3 years, you’re determined to make it past this hump in the road and want to be inspired to make fresh and exciting art again. You’re likely someone who’s doing this part-time or recently left their job entirely.

For those with years of experience, with photography as their sole income, this is a chance for you to try something new, learn from industry leaders and deepen connections in your network. You want to learn innovative strategies and get your work seen.

Whatever group you fall under, you want to propel yourself to the next level. This two day workshop comprises both Fine Art photography education, and Business & Professional Development.

Speakers will be announced shortly. We aim to have at minimum 5 guest speakers who will enrich the curriculum with their knowledge and experience. Discussions are underway and contracts are being negotiated with the following wedding & photography industry leaders:

We welcome both film, digital and hybrid photographers in a judgement free environment.

You will be required to bring a camera and a laptop. We recommend at minimum bringing a prime lens equivalent of 50mm on your relative system, though the creative choice is solely down to your discretion.

This workshop best serves UK and EU photographers below the VAT revenue level of £85K GBP revenue. For those above this income bracket, a future workshop will be better catered to your requirements.

Style

Relaxed and natural. None of that awkwardly posed or unrealistically staged stuff. I’m all about chilled vibes and playful moments.

I realise you and your family may want traditional group photos. Though often cited as the most boring part of the day, we’ll put a fun twist on them and make sure they’re super quick, so you can all get back to the celebrations.

We don’t use any flashes during your ceremony, and are masters of getting the best out of natural light. We don’t use any Photoshop and all the images you see are natural and true-to-life.

Images are edited professionally by myself and a team of editors. This makes for unbeatable quality and consistency. You’ll have a minimum of 600 photos delivered in a stunning online gallery.

Location

Though I’m based near Cardiff in South Wales, you should see my Snapchat map – I’m all over the country most weeks!

I’ve been almost everywhere in the UK for weddings, from rustic barns on the Cornish coast to the beautiful manor houses of the Cotswolds.

I’m also fortunate enough to have been to a few far flung destinations for my photography, including Dubai, Hawaii, Japan and Egypt, as well as destination weddings across Europe.

Costs of travel are included for all mainland UK weddings. For weddings further afield, we ask that you cover flights, transport and accommodation.

Exclusive

I take a limited number of weddings every year to make sure that every couple gets 100% of my attention.

Last year was fully booked by the previous January, with 40 weddings in total for 2019. We are fully booked for 2020.

Rescheduling priority is going to my couples affected by the pandemic. As a result, 2021 is nearly fully booked. Sadly, I’m turning away dates where I’m already booked.

2022 is looking to be equally busy, with both Photo and Cinema bookings.

Collections

I offer a range of bespoke photography collections to suit your requirements, including beautiful albums and wall art. All of my collections are full-days, so not a moment is missed.

There’s an option for a second photographer, something I’d highly recommend if you value having coverage of both bridal and groom prep, as well as more varied coverage of large wedding parties.

Our Films package is also available, offering the timeless style my photos are known for the in form of a cinematic highlight video. You can reserve this alongside your wedding photography, benefitting from an elite team of creatives covering your wedding day.
