Out of a desire to curate fresh and exciting content to inspire our current and future clients, Megan Goodchild (The Face Boss) and myself discussed ideas of a fashion inspired styled shoot, with concepts that we perceive as the future for Weddings. Megan’s bridal makeup combines feminine and elegant looks with glamorous and modern techniques, exuding confidence and beauty. She shares the same vision as me in creating a meaningful and lasting experience for our clients. For stylish bridal hair, Beau Bridal provided a stunning look for the models.

Securing the discerning design eyes of Victoria Barry (Signature Event Hire) was our first priority to make our vision a reality. With luxurious layouts, stunning yet functional table plans and welcome signs that delight and encourage guests, Victoria’s work creates an unmatched ambience. Her use of colour palette is a joy to photograph, creating a warmth and positive atmosphere for all. The explosion in colour and tasteful display of varieties in the bridal bouquets and grooms boutonnières are the work of Jan Lima flowers, an expert in both fresh and dried floral arrangement. If fragrance could be carried across in photos, a dewy fresh cut smell of the Spring would fill the air.

Set by the historic town of Usk in Monmouthshire, South Wales, Cefn Tilla Court is the former home of Lord Raglan, now run as an exclusive Wedding Venue which is set in acres of stunning grounds and features an Italianette Lily Pond Terrace. The bridal boudoir exudes luxury, renovated to welcome a full bridal party. Cefn Tilla will host up to 200 of your guests, with accommodation for 40. With an on-site clay pigeon shooting range, stunning local surroundings for walking and horse-riding, and the neighbouring South Wales Gliders Club, there are plenty of activities for all. 

Allowing external caterers, Cefn Tilla provides both flexibility and personal choice for your cuisine, such as the delicious grazing platters supplied by The Med. Blending authentic mediterranean food with local and organic suppliers, The Med provides a fresh and exciting culinary palette for you and your guests.

Their newly launched Boutique in Morgan Arcade, Cardiff, welcomes you and your bridal party, with expert advice from knowledgable staff. Timeless and classic, the full dinner jacket and navy suit provided by Dyfed Menswear are perfectly tailored with attention to detail. The service received from their staff is phenomenal, with a professional touch and charming expertise.

I envisioned the images of this shoot to be derived from the quality of medium format film, using the Contax 645, 80mm f/2.0 and 140mm f/2.8 lenses. The soft pastel tones of Fuji 400H film were essential in capturing the romantic theme, with developing and scanning work handled by Exposure Film Lab Hereford. Digital images were provided courtesy of Fujifilm Loans UK providing the GFX 100S medium format digital camera and 80mm f/1.7 lens.
