Album FAQ's

Albums are made with sustainability in mind, with a focus on the environment. For every album made, a new tree is planted. All paper is recycled, glue is non-toxic and shipping boxes are made from recycled paper. The thin layer of plastic on our packaging meets paper recycling standards due to the type of plastic that it is and how little is used. 

Each linen book is manufactured from natural linseed fibres. Once spun and woven, they are hand-dyed with non-toxic natural pigments. This linen is sourced from award-winning eco suppliers that are just as dedicated to sustainability as I am. This is an ideal album cover for Vegetarians. 

Each Leather album is sourced from humanely raised cattle that are not bred solely for their leather. The leather is supplied from farmers in Italy that allow their cattle to graze freely in pastures and live their full, natural lives. This makes the leather a byproduct of local farming, not the main product. No plastics or harsh chemicals are used in this cover material. 

A lifetime guarantee is included with each album, held by Kiss Books US. This covers you against all manufacturer defects. Common defects from other album manufacturers include the binding glue leaking, and images degrading over time.

Though Kiss Books don’t exhibit these flaws as they are printed to such high standards, you can be assured your investment is safe for life.

After your wedding, we’ll work together to design your perfect album. Included in most collections is a voucher for an 8″ album, ideal for around 40 pictures.

Most couples select their favourite images from their gallery, then reduce them to their absolute must-haves – 120 images is an ideal ballpark. I find this is the perfect number for us to decide together what works best in telling your wedding story. 

Once you’ve selected your favourite images, in person we’ll discuss your album choices and design. We can remove images and spreads to suit your album budget, or upgrade to a larger size to accommodate for more images.

To ensure you’re 100% happy with your album, you can make revisions to the design of your pages. Once created, you’ll receive a digital proof of your album. Using this online viewing system, you can make comments on each page layout, letting us know your feedback. For example, if you want an image enlarged, made smaller, or presented on a different page, we’ll be able to revise your design accordingly.

Albums are your heirloom. As each one is handmade, it is uniquely yours. As a result, I believe it is important to customise your album to reflect your taste.

10″ and 12″ albums come in a choice of swatches across Leather & Linen. With thick, durable pages (with extra pages available), an option for your favourite image on the cover, and a range of foil texts, you can truly make your album unique.
